I really don’t blame anyone who gets excited when they first hear about the new live action theatrical release. I loved G.I. Joe as a kid, my parent bought me literally hundreds of dollars worth of action figures and vehicles. I love the source material, so I would love to be excited for a big budget G.I. Joe film.

But there’s no way this movie’s not going to suck.

I hate to judge a movie before it’s released, but seriously… Robo Joes?

I’m here to give you an alternative source of G.I. Joe fun.

Adult Swim recently aired a new, reimagined, animated special “G.I.Joe: Resolute”.

It’s a more mature version of the original and it’s awesome.

Unlike the original; lasers are replaced with real guns.
People die, bloodily.
I can only hope this somehow gets rolled into a regular series.
