Selling Sincerity
A.K.A. the blog post wherein I hand out some free advertisement.
I have always been a bit of a sucker for a good documentary. Recently, after stumbling upon some documentary style commercials on youtube, I’ve fallen in love with the idea of micro documentaries. Being able to convey something real and meaningful in as short an amount of time as possible is quite a task. Even if the purpose is merely to sell something…
The first one “Tan hong Ming in love” is only a minute and a half long and absolutely wonderful. The look on his face near the end is priceless.
The second is probably the most powerful beer commercial I have ever seen. The shots are set up excellent, the cuts are great and the music is perfectly barely there at all.
And lastly, this commercial follows the struggles of a young boxer trying to make his way through the ranks…
Go get em Mac!
(Neither Ignertia nor the author can vouch for the sincerity or… reality of the aforementioned commercials.)
