Create 3D-Coat Turntable Videos using VirtualDub
Check out “Create 3D-Coat Turntable Videos using VirtualDub” if you haven’t already.
Why VirtualDub?
It’s free and fast. Once you have your settings saved, its a three step process to get a rendered video out of an image sequence.
1. Load first frame
2. Load processing settings
3. Save as AVI
The downside (to some) is that you are limited to AVI, no Quicktime or WMV.
But you can always feed the AVI to another encoder and save some time as other encoders may not accept image sequences.
In the tutorial, you may have noticed I used a codec called Lagarith.
Lagarith is a nice lossless video codec that is good for editing and archiving while also supporting an alpha channel.
I hope some of this information was helpful.
