The Big Idea:
Incorporate the necessary technology, i.e., kiosks and plasma display units into the design and structure of their new state of the art facilities, with minimal exposed computers and wire.
Description:
Small fast booting solid state PCs were the best solution here. The devices used minimal power, always returned to their original state on reboot, and had a very small form factor. Hotspot was accomplished using standard WEP, yes unfortunately insecure but offered the best compatibility at the time. While connecting the system to a Free-Radius server to handle more users than a typical wireless device.
